Privacy Policy

Cadence is designed to help you listen to, revisit, and memorize Scripture. We believe the personal information connected to that experience should be handled carefully and explained clearly.

This Privacy Policy describes the information Cadence collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create a Cadence account, we may collect:

Cadence uses Supabase to provide account authentication. Your password is handled through Supabase’s authentication system. Cadence does not receive or store your password in plain text.

Scripture and library information

As you use Cadence, you may create or save information such as:

During the current beta, much of this Scripture-library information is stored locally on your device. Cadence may expand cloud synchronization over time. If our data practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy before representing those changes as current behavior.

Technical information

Our service providers may process limited technical information that is necessary to authenticate users, deliver the app and its updates, operate the service, prevent abuse, or diagnose technical problems.

Cadence does not use your personal information for third-party advertising or cross-app advertising tracking.

3. Service Providers

Cadence uses trusted service providers to operate parts of the service.

Supabase

Supabase provides authentication and backend infrastructure. It processes account information needed to create and authenticate Cadence accounts.

Resend

Resend is used to deliver transactional email, including account verification and password-recovery messages.

Expo / EAS

Cadence uses Expo and EAS infrastructure for portions of app building, distribution, and software-update delivery.

We expect service providers that process information on our behalf to use it only as necessary to provide their services and to protect it appropriately.

We retain account information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Cadence, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

During the beta, Scripture-library information stored locally on your device may remain there until it is removed through the app, its storage is cleared, or the app is deleted.

You may request deletion of your Cadence account and associated personal information by contacting hello@cadencewithin.com.

We will process legitimate deletion requests subject to information we may need to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or other legitimate purposes.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled through Cadence. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Children and Family Privacy

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through Cadence that should be reviewed or deleted, please contact us at hello@cadencewithin.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Cadence develops. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and publish the revised policy here.
